Your clubs will arrive safely and on time at your destination – a hotel, or the pro shop of the course you’re playing – and you can plan your return shipment in advance.
In this video, we’ll show you how you can save money by planning your shipment ahead of time; ship your clubs from home, office, or FedEx Office; choose the best packing options and materials; arrange an easy return shipment for your clubs and get a discount on club shipping.
Let’s get started.
First, plan ahead and save.
Golf clubs are heavy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t ship them at a reasonable price with a little bit of advance planning. Drop off your clubs at FedEx Office several days before you travel, and choose FedEx Ground shipping to get them to your destination – on time, intact, and cost-effectively. Monday through Friday are standard delivery days, but we’ll be happy to deliver your clubs on Saturday for an additional fee. As with many shipping carriers, FedEx does not deliver on Sundays, so plan ahead.
Go to fedex.com/ratefinder to find rates and transit times, so you can determine the best day to ship your clubs and save money.
When you’ve determined the speed and service you want for your club shipment, there are three ways to get them moving – from your home, your office or FedEx Office.
One option is to print a FedEx shipping label at home or work, attach it to your golf travel case, and have us pick it up.
Another option is to bring your golf travel case to FedEx Office, where we’ll attach a luggage tag to the case, so the label will remain securely attached.
Or bring your clubs – in a travel case or just your golf bag – to FedEx Office, where we will pack them for you before shipping.
Next, select packing materials and services
If you don’t have a golf club travel case, that’s not a problem. We have a box made specifically for club shipments that you can purchase at FedEx Office for just $10. It has sturdy double-walled construction and measures 15x15x48 inches. You can pack your clubs yourself, or we can do it for you.
If you’d like us to pack it for you, the box plus professional fragile packing is $24.99.
If you’d just like to ship one large driver or several irons, the FedEx 50-inch tube, sold for $7.50, may be all you need.
Now, choose your shipping speed
You can ship your clubs with ground, express, and international services. FedEx Ground is the most cost-effective choice, with delivery in 1-5 business days within the 48 contiguous United States. If you need faster delivery, FedEx Express services can get your clubs there as quickly as overnight. And if you’re golfing outside the U.S., we can deliver clubs to more than 220 countries and territories.
Next, have your clubs delivered to your destination
FedEx can have your clubs waiting for you wherever you’d like them to be – your hotel, the local pro shop, or any business or residential address. Choose the destination that’s most convenient for you.
FedEx makes your golf travel easier, so all you need to worry about is getting yourself to your destination and enjoying what you love most.
Finally, plan the return shipment of your clubs
Don’t forget to plan your clubs’ trip home. If your golf club or hotel has a regular scheduled FedEx pickup, you can drop off your clubs at the pro shop or with the hotel’s concierge for assistance.
If you’d prefer to drop your clubs off at a local FedEx Office, go to fedex.com, or use our free mobile shipping app to find a nearby location.
